About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Design and implement an effective recruitment strategy for generating new to university students within their assigned campus in the Global Network that will enable the university to meet campus enrollment and revenue goals. Counsel prospects in the portfolio of Northeastern’s program offerings from initial contact through enrollment admission. The Assistant Director’s recruitment and enrollment strategy may include, but is not limited to direct outreach via phone, text, email, virtual or in-person appointments.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Communicate accurate information and effectively counsel all prospects, applicants, transfer counselors, and other employer/community constituents in a timely, professional, and positive manner during all recruitment events including, onsite visits, information sessions, interviews, written correspondence email and phone calls.
- Plan, design and implement an effective goal driven recruitment strategy designed to attract talented, diverse, and economically able students for an assigned geographic area, degree program or audience(s).
- Attend virtual/in-person industry events, college fairs, transfer programs and community colleges to establish a presence in emerging and introductory markets and to increase market share in established markets.
- Develop, coordinate, plan and execute recruitment programs including, group and individual counseling of students, receptions / information events for students and employers, yield events, interviews, regional open houses, college and transfer counselor events, training forums among other activities.
- Works closely with an assigned constituent group to communicate admissions-related information. Serves as an advocate of the College/Campus constituency in the admissions process.
- Effectively manages any assigned project(s) including setting goals in consultation with his/her supervisor, developing and managing timelines, achieving desired results, and producing a final report on the assigned task.
- Maintain accurate and timely record keeping of all interaction with students in university CRM and application systems to produce accurate reporting.
- Provide feedback on any issues/interests that may arise during applicant & prospective student contact to provide continued improvement of the student experience.
- Work closely with manager to collect, analyze, and present data that will inform new programs and services that meet market demands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of one year of experience in student recruitment, college admissions and/or other customer service organizations.
- Proven ability to work independently, excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies.
- This role will require one to be creative, tenacious, innovative, nimble, and willing to create and execute plans or contingency plans as goals and needs rapidly evolve.
- Experience in counseling, recruitment, local travel, call campaigns, and small and large group presentations is desired.
- A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to successfully work independently, who actively contributes to a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- This results-driven position also requires comfort and motivation working to achieve and exceed benchmarks, KPIs and targets.
The expected hiring range for this position is CAD $55,400 to CAD $83,100, based upon the position’s scope and responsibilities.
