Ecosupport have a requirement to expand our team assisting with a range of survey work as well as mapping, data analysis and reporting. As such, we will have multiple opportunities for assistant / field ecologists to join our busy and dynamic team based on Daedalus airfield, Lee-on-the-Solent.
The role will typically entail the following:
- Assisting with, and potentially leading a range of protected species surveys (bats,
Dormice, reptiles, Badgers, GCN) - Habitat surveys including qudrat surveys and assisting with habitat condition assessments
- Biodiversity Net Gain field assessments
- Data analysis (bat sonograms, video analysis)
There will be times when travel is required and our current work bank covers Kent to Dorset so a degree of flexibility will be needed in terms of the hours worked (which can of course increase during our busiest periods). An ability to undertake evening / night time work on bat surveys will also be essential along with a full UK driving licence.
The right candidates will be driven, demonstrate a willingness to learn along with a strong aptitude to new tasks and whilst previous experience is desirable, but is by no means essential as training will be provided. In terms of what we can offer the right candidate:
