The finance team will be expanding in the near future and the person will play a significant role within this.We are looking for a qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) individual or finalist with relevant experience.The role centres on financial and compliance management of the UK business and support in setup of financial management in North America. The role will be based in London.The Successful ApplicantCulturally we are looking for a team player with a hands-on approach. This is especially important whilst we scale up. There will be some hands-on work to assist with setting up processes and booking of transactions on the financial systems.Job Activities Description (activities include but limited to):

  • Accounting for the UK group of companies, including operative companies and several Special Purpose Vehicles
  • Monthly management accounts and rolling forecast.
  • Business partnering with Directors and Managers on budgeting and forecasting
  • Accounts payable control
  • Assist in facilitating the group consolidation process.
  • Generate ad hoc accounting statements.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation, expenses and leave management.
  • Assistance in development of cost centres and chart of accounts
  • Assistance in development of accounting system (currently using Xero)
  • VAT returns
  • Assistance in due diligence requirement and annual audits
  • Cashflow

o Assistance in the daily management and control of the UK companies cashflowso Manage the intercompany agreements, transfer prices, shareholders loans, and payments.

  • Suppliers

o Manage payments to supplier guaranteeing segregation of payment.o Support the development managers in managing the financial and compliance aspects land agreements, grid connection agreements, planning process, and all agreements with service providers for the development process.o Contribute to set-up internal standard procedures for suppliers’ management in compliance with Group standards.

  • Banks

o Manage and reconcile the companies bank accounts.· Ad hoc tasks required by managementWhat we are looking for:Essentials:·Fluent in English·Relevant financial advisory experience·Proactive and able to adapt well as required·Able to manage multiple projects alongside one another·Understanding of the UK renewables energy market·Able to work collaboratively across a team·Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills·A flexible attitude to work·Ability to keep up in a fast paced, ever changing environment.·Strong academic profile with relevant qualification in accounting and finance·Experience of a fast growing business would be useful but not essential·UK experience in successful renewables project developments would be desirableBenefits· Generous compensation: Depending on experience.· Cash bonus and profit participation (long term incentive plan) as defined by the group policies· Benefits in line with NatPower UK policies.· Probation period: 3-6 months· References and DBS checks required· Flexible working
