Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to Provincial Manager of Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) Intake Services, the Assistant Manager, is a member of the Mental Health & Addictions Intake Leadership team and is responsible for advancing priorities of the portfolio via supporting the ongoing development and implementation of assigned MHA Intake program services and initiatives. Is responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective, efficient use of human, fiscal, and material resources in the delivery of quality client centered care. The Assistant Manager works together with the Provincial Manager of Intake and the Provincial Clinical Practice Lead to implement initiatives to support standardization and advancement of person centered services within each of the Zones of Nova Scotia Health.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in health or a related field
- Eligible for registration with relevant health or professional discipline / college or association
- 3-5 years recent and related progressive leadership experience. Experience in Mental Health and Addictions an asset
- Strong working knowledge of mental health / addictions care delivery systems in hospital and community
- Evidence of commitment to a healthy workplace and the use of best practices in building / sustaining staff competencies, ensuring good communication and involvement of staff and clients / residents in decisions which affect them
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
- Strong human resource management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Flexibility and creativity are required to meet the challenges in a dynamically changing environment
- Demonstrated understanding of and champion of family centered care required
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and enhanced customer service
- Ability to identify and report budgetary pressures to the manager and assists the manager in identifying mitigation strategies to keep spending within budget
