Research areas of particular interest include tissue and organ dynamics, organoid development, embryology, endometriosis, and pregnancy disorders. Researchers with expertise in other biomedical research disciplines will also be considered.The successful candidate will be based in the Clinical Sciences Research Laboratories (CSRL), located on our University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) campus. The CSRL provides excellent laboratory facilities and access to human tissue samples from the Tommy’s National Reproductive Health Biobank. Close interactions with the Centre for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) and Biomedical Research Unit in Reproductive Health (BRU-RH) provide access to IVF material and a robust pathway for clinical translation. Additional state-of-the-art research facilities, including advanced proteomics, microscopy, flow cytometry, genomic and bioinformatic /computational platforms, are located on the Gibbet Hill campus.About YouThe candidate is also expected to contribute to postgraduate supervision and teaching, alongside participating in the development and delivery of our two new undergraduate courses; MSci Integrated Science and BSc Health & Medical Sciences.For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.About the DepartmentThe Medical School’s Division of Biomedical Sciences has 41 principal investigators with world-class strength in mechanochemical cell biology, microbiology, immunology and reproductive biomedicine. This position is expected to add to growth in reproductive biomedicine. Our work spans discovery and translational science. Interdisciplinary research approaches are encouraged and facilitated through the Centre for Early Life, which brings together experts from across the University of Warwick, including Warwick Medical School, Warwick Mathematics Institute, and the Departments of Chemistry, Computer Science, Psychology, and Statistics.
