Assistant Professor, Educational AdministrationThe College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications from qualified individuals for a full time, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Educational Administration.The University of Saskatchewan’s main campus is situated on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. This U15 University has a reputation for excellence in teaching, research and scholarly activities and offers a full range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs to a student population of over 24,000.The Department of Educational Administration is a thriving department with a responsibility for undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department of Educational Administration has one of the largest cohorts of graduate students at the University of Saskatchewan. We deliver Master’s, PhD and EdD programs that focus on educational administration, leadership and governance to approximately 400 graduate students pursuing Master’s, EdD, and PhD programs. The Department maintains long-established partnerships with community agencies and cross-campus departments.The Department offers undergraduate and graduate programming in the areas of:
- Educational policy, governance, finance, ethics, and law;
- Educational research methods;
- Educational system improvement, organizational development, and effectiveness;
- Leadership for the enhancement of teaching and learning;
- Leadership in rural education;
- International and comparative education studies.
- Pre-K-12 educational systems;
- Indigenous educational leadership, governance, and organizational development;
- Post-secondary institutions;
- Public and social sectors; and
- International education systems.
Research and community engagement opportunities within the Department and College include those facilitated through the Saskatchewan Educational Leadership Unit (SELU) and the editorial office of the Canadian Journal of Educational Administration and Policy (CJEAP).QualificationsWe are seeking a candidate who has an earned doctoral degree in educational administration, educational leadership, or equivalent. Preference will be given to those who have a strong program of research, evidence of external funding or potential to acquire external funding, ability to supervise Master’s and PhD students, and interest in working with Indigenous and international communities.
