Job Description:ABOUT THE ROLEWorking as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will be responsible for contributing to an exceptional student experience through the delivery of teaching, research, knowledge exchange and business and enterprise engagement activity. The role holder will contribute to delivering the Faculty’s strategic priorities, which include the integration of excellent teaching and high-quality research. The role holder will be responsible for the development, organisation, and delivery of curriculum content of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with the International Business & Strategy subject group. The role holder will also contribute to research activities, delivering appropriate research outputs in relevant journals, income generation and impact as agreed by the department Research leadership team.We welcome applications from scholar who have research interest in the following areas (as well as those more broadly situated within the field of IB):

The role holder will contribute to modules on the BSc International Business Management and the MSc International Business Management. Most modules are team taught, so colleagues are expected to work in collaboration with other developing and delivering modules. There is also opportunity to contribute to our distance-learning modules and guest lecture on our partner campuses.This post is advertised across our and roles.Colleagues appointed into our Lecturer grade are usually early career academics who are supported through their probationary period to develop their Academic profile. Upon completion of probation objectives these colleagues are automatically moved into the Assistant Professor role. The selection panel will assess your application and discuss with you which role you are being considered for at selection and appointment stages.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy brings together themes of entrepreneurship, innovation, international business, business strategy, and regional development. Our teaching is informed by strong connections with the region’s business community and by our world-leading research across each subject area. It is a vibrant, internationally diverse, and inclusive department whose staff are passionate about creating an engaging student learning experience. Our International Business subject group has published across the leading IB journals including, Journal of World Business, Journal of International Business Studies, and International Business Review.We have a strong research culture complemented by research seminars, electrode lectures, paper hackathons and writing retreats. Those in the International Business and Strategy subject are members of a wide range of research centres here at the Business School such as EPIC, Organisational Change & Development and the Responsible Business research group.Our programmes, BSc International Business Management and MSc International Business Management, are the largest programmes in the department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy, attracting 50-200 students every year.ABOUT YOUYou will have:PhD in core discipline in International Business, strategy or related fieldsEvidence of developing a strong research profile and publications.Experience of teaching in the areas of International Business and/or Strategy.Experience of designing, delivering, and assessing high quality teaching and learning practice as well as evidence of high-quality research outputs are essential.For our lecturer grade we would expect an emergent publication record in top journals relevant to the field of International Business. For the Assistant Professor role, we would expect an established and growing publication record in relevant journals, with an ambitious research plan including grant capture activities.
