Assistant Professor of Business
Kentucky Wesleyan College is a private four-year, liberal arts college in Owensboro,
KY. Serving approximately 700 students, the College provides a challenging and supportive
academic experience that produces highly qualified graduates who become successful
professionals in their careers and valuable members of their communities. Kentucky Wesleyan
is seeking a dynamic, innovative Assistant Professor of Business to join our IACBE accredited
program. This position is a tenure-track position.
The successful candidate will teach an array of business courses in multiple formats. Contingent
upon qualifications and current needs of the institution, examples of course content may include,
but are not limited to, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Management,
Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Entrepreneurship, and AgriBusiness.
The successful candidate is also expected to engage in professional development, perform
scholarly work for professional purposes and in collaboration with students, advise students, and
serve in accordance with The Wesleyan Way.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in business or business-related field
- A strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and working with undergraduate students.
- A passion for providing an exceptional classroom experience for our students.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively.
- A desire to serve Kentucky Wesleyan College and its stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include:
- PhD, DBA, or ABD
- Evidence of scholarly activity
- Collegiate teaching experience
- Prior professional experience
