Assistant Professor of French Linguistics

The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications for a two-year (two 10-month terms) limited term position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of French linguistics, effective August 1, 2024. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Primary responsibilities will include teaching French language classes at the undergraduate level, as well as linguistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Specialization in applied linguistics (teaching of French as a second language) would be an asset. Candidates must have a PhD in hand at the time of appointment, and they should possess native or near-native fluency in French.
