Position Summary The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences ( is seeking candidates for a non-tenure-track faculty position in industrial/pharmaceutical microbiology to commence immediately. The successful candidate will hold a 12 month faculty appointment at the College with day-to-day responsibilities supervised by the Director of ACPHS’s Stack Family Center for Biomanufacturing and Training. (
The primary roles of this position will be to provide: teaching and capstone supervision that supports the College’s academic programs (BS Microbiology, BS Pharmaceutical Science, MS Biomanufacturing and Bioprocessing), instruction in the College’s workforce training programs, and completion of contract research with our industry partners. Areas of emphasis include fermentation technology; microbial contamination prevention, investigation, control and aseptic processing; QA/QC and GMP regulatory requirements; and bioanalytical techniques.
Required Qualifications All applicants must have a Ph.D. and industrial experience in one or more of the emphasis areas listed above.
Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with a primary area of expertise in bioprocess manufacturing. It is desirable that candidates have a demonstrated interest in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
