Job Description:Are you a barrister in private practice looking for a role that provides you with the opportunity to bring your professional expertise of contemporary practice into our programmes to inform the delivery of exceptional teaching whilst continuing in part time practice at the bar or as a fee paid judge?ABOUT THE ROLEFurther information is available in theWorking as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will be responsible for contributing to an exceptional student experience through the delivery of teaching, practice, knowledge exchange, scholarship and business and enterprise engagement activity. We are looking to recruit barristers who are and intend to remain in private practice and/or to continue as fee paid judges on 0.6 FTE contracts (i.e. either to work for us three days per week or to work for us an agreed number of weeks per year) and remain in part time private practice during the remaining days or during the weeks when not working for us. The intention is to recruit staff whose professional practice activity will remain current and inform our practice related teaching, particularly for our Bar students.ABOUT THE TEAMNorthumbria Law School is one of the largest law schools in the UK.
