Tailoring our service to each students’ individual needs and career aspirations, we are an integral part of the student journey that starts at enrolment and continues beyond graduation.The RoleThe School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. As we continue to develop our Allied Health Professions educational offer, we have been successful in securing funding to further expand our provision with the development of enhanced practice.We are looking to recruit a senior academic into the role of pathway lead for Physiotherapy with a vision to create and deliver our innovative Enhanced Practice curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to co-develop and lead the development and our extensive enhanced practice provision alongside Occupational Therapy, Dietetic and Podiatry. You will have academic responsibility for ensuring that the pathway meets educational requirements of enhanced practice across the breath of physiotherapy practice. You will work within the Enhanced practice team with oversight of the core pathway, in addition you will have the opportunity to work with our Physiotherapy pre-registration curriculum team.Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • HCPC physiotherapy registrant
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to acquire one
  • Active membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Our Successful CandidateYou will be a HCPC registered Physiotherapist, alongside having a significant and successful track record of teaching, learning and assessment practice, and experience of assessment processes at different Higher Education levels. Have strong experience of developing and delivering education programmes within the UK with an understanding of enhanced level practice, and line managing academic teams within a relevant portfolio. You will also need to have knowledge and experience of reviewing, modifying, developing and enhancing curriculum and programmes, and experience of enhancing learner satisfaction and outcomes.The BenefitsAlong with a competitive salary we offer an industry leading Rewards and Benefits package which includes:
