Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Comparative Politics of Autocracies

Position description

We seek to hire an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Comparative Politics of Autocracies to complement our existing strength in Comparative Politics; the position is open with regard to regional focus and specialization. We aim to foster methodological pluralism. Prospective candidates may work on a single country or conduct comparisons across multiple cases. The teaching load is 2-2. The prospective candidate will contribute to the Political Science program at the undergraduate and graduate curricular levels. The expected start date for this position is July 1, 2025. PhD in Political Science preferred. Although ABD candidates will be considered, a terminal degree is required by the time the Assistant Professor appointment begins.
