Do you enjoy working proactively as both a member of a team and independently?The School of Applied Sciences is looking to appoint a to the role of Assistant Technician (Full time, 37h/week). Technical staff are fundamental to the success of the University and in this role you will assist teaching and research by ensuring that laboratory spaces are constantly maintained, clean and tidy. The primary function of this roll will be to provide a specialist glass washing service, the cleaning of specialist facilities and assisting with general tasks around the School that ensure smooth service delivery.The School of Applied Sciences (SAS) specialises in research and education in the fields of Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Ecology and Conservation, Geography, and Environment. This diversity provides a rich environment to tackle global problems using multidisciplinary approaches. The School comprises of around 160 staff, including 30 technical staff, and 1200 students, studying on a range of courses from undergraduate to PhD level.The university offers in-house training on a range of areas and we encourage the ongoing development of all staff members.
