Would you like to work on a nationally important wetland site managing habitats for breeding black-necked grebe and willow tit?
The Dee Estuary team are seeking an experienced dynamic and motivated Assistant Warden to join the team, based at Woolston Eyes Nature Reserve.
Your role will be incredibly varied, and you’ll carry out a range of tasks including – delivering habitat management, species surveying and habitat monitoring, supervising contractors, engaging with stakeholders, maintenance tasks, and managing some amazing volunteers.
We are seeking an individual with experience of practical habitat management, working with and inspiring volunteers, surveying birds and other taxa and working with machinery. They will also have good reserves infrastructure and estate maintenance skills.
The applicant should also have a good knowledge of natural history, with good bird identification skills. They should be confident working independently, setting priorities and taking on challenges.
They should also be a strong team player with excellent organisational, communication, practical and inter-personal skills. Ready to inspire and motivate to achieve great things for nature.
This is a 12 month Contract, full Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
