Penningtons Manches Cooper is a member of and the , networks with representatives in over 100 countries, and many of our lawyers play leading roles in various international bodies.ResponsibilitiesThe Banking and Finance team advises on a broad spectrum of funding arrangements – from day to day banking and finance transactions to complex, cross-border international trade and investment projects and this role will support those members of the team who are based in our Reading, Birmingham and London offices. The team’s clients include high profile financial institutions, overseas lenders, private banks and private investors. In addition to acting for our own lending clients, we are often called upon to assist other teams within the firm (e.g. corporate and property teams) in the financing aspects of their transactions.You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.We are looking to hire an NQ-3 pqe associate into our London, Birmingham or Reading office
- Assisting the lead partner with the management of banking and finance transactions.
- Drafting, review and negotiation of banking documentation.
- Managing client deadlines and transaction delivery.
- Legal and sector knowledge development.
- Working closely with other teams to ensure that larger projects are delivered within the timeframes and budgets agreed

Essential & Desirable Criteria
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Real estate finance experience
- Outstanding academic credentials.
- Good organisational and drafting skills.
- Evidence of a keen interest in the practice area.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
