Associate, Business Valuation and Financial Litigation

The Role
As a member of the Business Valuation and Financial Litigation team, the Associate is responsible for assisting the Senior Managers with engagements, assisting with corporate and personal taxes on behalf of the valued practice area clients, researching regulatory requirements, and conducting financial models.
The Challenge
· Support Senior Managers in the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance as well as key strengths and challenges;
· Assist practice leaders by preparing capitalized earnings, cash flow and other valuation models to arrive at estimates of value;
· Manage client relations and serve as the go-to for both corporate and personal taxes, on behalf of the practice area;
· Analyze financial information, prepare financial analysis for review, and vet findings through the Senior Managers;
· Assist with preparation of expert reports for business valuation, damage claims, or forensic accounting investigations;
· Compile, analyze and provide insights to aid the Partner and Senior Managers during client meetings;
· Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability;
· Complete multifaceted tasks, including notice-to-readers (compilations) as well as both personal and corporate tax documents;
· Develop your expertise in a specialization.
What You Bring
· A minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in the area of accounting and/or public practice
· Must possess or are close to completing a CPA designation
· Ability to perform complex formulas in Excel
· Excellent analytical and writing skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Enrolled, or willing to enroll in the CBV program with the goal of obtaining your CBV designation
