There will be opportunity for individuals to lead smaller projects or be members of larger teams delivering major UK programmes.The role – what is it we would like you to do?
- Managing full consultant teams on behalf of our clients to deliver a range of construction projects
- Lead and grow the current Leeds PM team alongside our local and regional growth ambitions
- Delivering plans for projects under their control and monitoring subsequent performance against this, taking corrective action where appropriate
- Implementing and monitoring relevant project control and administration systems in accordance with the Currie & Brown business management system (especially national quality standards for the services provided)
- Establishing a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and ensuring that all user requirements are captured and approvals are in place to meet scheduled dates, as well as understanding regulatory requirements
- Undertaking end-to-end project execution and management, ensuring clear goals, roles and deliverables are well defined and achieved
- Ensuring the integration of design, development, construction delivery, commissioning and process requirements are achieved using the subject matter experts in the team
- Managing the change control process using a pre-agreed client process through to successful handover and completion
- Reporting project cost, programme, health and safety and performance using project controls and reporting tools
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
- Degree qualification in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent academic achievement
- Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution) including incorporated or chartered status with a relevant professional body
- Experience as project manager on new-build, fit-out and/or refurbishment works projects with a strong focus in Commercial development, involving mixed use, including retail, infrastructure, residential (also covering student accommodation), commercial, industrial and healthcare.
- Experience of working across all stages of the project delivery.
- Experienced in a range of capital/revenue projects with a clear understanding of project management processes and methodologies, particularly APM
- Independent consultant who is capable of running projects with minimal support from senior colleagues
- Experience of undertaking the contract administrator role using JCT and/or project manager role under the NEC form
