Our culture is a key differentiator and one we are proud of.The opportunityThe Associate, Investor Mortgages will work within the Mortgage team on a range of functions. This unique and critical role is responsible for ensuring the accurate set up and the ongoing administration of mortgage files within agreed upon SLAs. This includes the ongoing preparation and completion of client payments, renewals and payoutsWhat you’ll be doing

  • Review mortgage documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Process disbursements, fees, and other account maintenance related activities.
  • Action all legal documentation and notices of insurance cancellations.
  • Auditing files, ensuring all requirements are met and are within operational policies.
  • Communicate with the Client Services Team and external contacts responding to transaction requests and inquiries.
  • Support your team in its overall operation, by working collaboratively with department colleagues and ensure that all tasks and projects are completed with integrity and in a timely manner.
  • Continuously seek and offer suggestions for operational improvement and efficiencies.
  • Investigate and resolve errors, including discrepancies identified by Internal Controls or the Client Services Team.
  • Maintain and develop procedures documents related to assigned activities.
  • Participate in department initiatives and projects as assigned.

Core knowledge requirements

  • Basic understanding of mortgages and related terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • High school graduation

Relevant “can do” experience

  • Past experience in the mortgage industry
  • Strong understanding of RRSP, RRIF and TFSA rules
  • Experience working with GlobalPlus or FIS Unity
