This is an opportunity to develop and evidence teaching and learning skills at Associate Professor level in a research-led, TEF 2023 Gold awarded in student outcomes, Russell Group university. In addition, 10% of workload will be dedicated to scholarship/personal research.The Department of Strategy and International Business is well-respected and a prominent player in the international business and global strategy field nationally and internationally. Its members produce high-calibre research in several areas including . The department’s teaching portfolio is mainly international, covering both undergraduate and postgraduate offerings in Edgbaston, Singapore and Dubai. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the delivery of our portfolio with colleagues across the department on our Business Management undergraduate suite, MSc International Business programmes, and MBA/EMBA programmes.The successful candidate will deliver an outstanding student experience to our internationally diverse undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts, leading modules, delivering lectures and delivering and co-ordinating assessment, seminars, marking and supervision in areas relevant to their expertise. Successful applicant may also undertake leadership and service activities in line with the Department, School and College’s strategic objectives.Role SummaryContribute at a senior level on a sustained basis to the whole range of teaching leadership and administration. In addition you will be expected to contribute to academic citizenship, likely to be demonstrated through generous, mutually respectful and supportive working relationships with all staff and students.Teaching is likely to include: (a) development and leadership of major teaching programmes or equivalent; and (b) enhancement of the student experience or employability, that are of manifest benefit to the College and the University. It is expected that you will demonstrate a significant contribution to the advancement of teaching (policy, practice, standards) of the subject, provide leadership in teaching and learning that is innovative to the subject area or institution, with a significant contribution to the debate nationally about teaching.Management and administration is likely to include Departmental/School leadership and management activity with University wide involvement – for example through sustained high value impact knowledge transfer, enterprise, business engagement, public engagement or similar activities.£56,021 to £64,914 with potential progression once in post to £84,644 per annum. Grade 9
