Our University Strategy sets out our ambitions for 2025, which we will achieve by using our proud heritage as a springboard and remaining steadfast in our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.FacultyYou will join the Bradford-Renduchintala Centre for Space AI (Space Centre) at the University of Bradford which is home to a multidisciplinary team of over 20 academics and research staff working in satellite communications, navigation, imaging and data science, artificial intelligence, distributed control systems, software defined radio and networking, security, reliability analysis, sustainability, and space governance.What you will be doing:
- You will work independently in a leading role to contribute to the Space Centre’s core mission to drive a smart and sustainable exploitation of space technologies to meet some of society’s biggest challenges.
- You will develop and manage the Space Centre’s external collaborations especially with industry and contribute to commercial income generation.
- You will support the co-creation and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, applied research, teaching, and publications of 3* and/or 4* outputs in impactful journals.
Qualifications/ experience:
- PhD (or equivalent) in a subject specialism relevant to space technology.
- Honours degree in a subject specialism relevant to electronics and electrical engineering.
- Experience working within the space sector, preferably in industry.
- Evidence of external visibility at national and international levels.
- Experience of leading and managing research projects in collaboration with industry that have been delivered on time and to budget.
- Evidence of relevant research expertise in space technologies with recent publications in 3* and/or 4* peer reviewed and refereed academic journals.
