The Marketing subject group at Edinburgh Napier University’s , is well-established and well-known for its approach to real-world and practice-based education and learning, and for conducting high-quality and impactful research and public engagement.We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Professor of Marketing, which would be well suited to someone currently undertaking an equivalent job role, or a Lecturer looking for career development.The Business School as a whole is focused on the delivery of a portfolio of programmes which reflect the needs of students and places greater emphasis on practical experiences and application of learning. We develop employable (and self-employable) graduates who will drive economic growth both at home and abroad and who are highly valued by employers, adding value to the communities in which we serve.The role:As Associate Professor of Marketing you will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing and future strategic development of our portfolio of programmes and modules with specific responsibility for developing and delivering modules in the areas of brand management, digital marketing or international marketing and leading on programme developments in the area.You will be in an excellent position to use your strong national profile in research and teaching, and experience of innovative and successful curriculum management and development, to engage in programme leadership and maintain active and ongoing involvement with industry to enhance our networks and student employability.The post will include teaching on a range of programmes and modules, including our MBA portfolio, and commercial and online/transnational provision, as well as supervision of students at all academic levels. You will be expected to have a strong publication record in the Marketing discipline/ pedagogy stream and have clearly defined plans for further scholarly outputs and income generation.You will also have the opportunity to work with the subject group leadership team and other colleagues to shape the future of the subject area within The Business School.
