About us The Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology is part of UCL’s Division of Psychology and Language Sciences (PALS). Psychology at UCL was ranked 2rd in the world in the Shanghai University Rankings. This reflects the excellent links between teaching, professional training and research within PALS, the wide range of research expertise represented within PALS and UCL more widely, and the excellent opportunities for collaboration and interdisciplinary research provided at UCL. The Research Department has a strong record in the development and evaluation of novel psychological interventions based on an understanding of neuroscience and developmental psychology. It has excellent collaborations with the Anna Freud Centre, the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology and Psychiatry, and with NHS clinical services.About the role The postholder will co-direct the new fully remote MSc in Psychology and Trauma (Adult Route), alongside an academic-focused programme co-director, as well as two co-directors for the Child Route. The role will begin in January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. In collaboration with the academic Co-Director, initially the role will be focused on the complete development of the course content, including teaching and assessment content and the design of pastoral care initiatives to match the remote delivery of the course. The co-director is particularly responsible for the clinical and practice-related content on the course. The postholder will hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and will have specialist experience and expertise related to psychological trauma theories and practice.The postholder will be up to date with the latest research in the field of psychological trauma. The postholder will also have experience developing and/or delivering teaching related to psychological trauma.About you We are seeking an applicant with relevant clinical expertise and teaching experience in adult psychological trauma. The postholder’s primary responsibility will be to co-direct the new fully remote MSc in Trauma and Psychology (Adult Route) alongside an academic-focused programme co-director for the Adult Route and two co-directors for the Child Route.
