Associate Professorship in Comparative Central and Eastern European Politics

The Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) and the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) in association with St Antony’s College are recruiting to the post of Associate Professorship in Comparative Central and Eastern European Politics to start from 1 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a joint post with 50% of the position dedicated to DPIR and 50% to OSGA.Applications are welcome from both early career and established scholars in any sub-field of political science.The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise in comparative Central and East European politics at the undergraduate and graduate level, to contribute to the graduate research design or methods teaching sequences across both departments, and to act as a College Adviser for graduate students and to contribute to the convening of talks and events for the centres at St Antony’s College. They will be expected to play a leading role in the development and delivery of Central and Eastern European politics training within across departments’ graduate and undergraduate programmes.
