Job Description
As an Associate Project Manager, you will provide client-side project management services, with a key focus on the Higher Education sector. You will play a key part during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle including; option studies, development of the design, procurement, construction (including NEC contract administration) and handover.
Your role will include but not be limited to the following day to day tasks.
Working in the Higher Education sector with input to a number of our current key clients such as University of Plymouth, University of Exeter, and the University of Bristol.
Client-side project management, including stakeholder engagement, schedule and contract management
Be a primary interface with AECOM’s Higher Education clients (new and existing)
Develop strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders and members of the multi-disciplinary project team
Lead in the delivery of Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful outcome
Manage the efficient delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
Oversee the co-ordination and sign-off of all reports and information produced by the project management team prior to issue
Provide line management and mentoring to all staff members reporting to you and ensure that they have current and relevant training
Participate in business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, ensuring that these are identified and acted upon
Qualifications
As the successful applicant you will possess the following qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Specific Higher Education project experience
Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Engineering /Construction /Quantity Surveying Degree
Good working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, combined with commercial awareness
Collaborative management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Valid UK driving licence
Preferred Qualifications:
Chartered Status with either the ICE, RICS, CIOB, RIBA or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
NEC3 / NEC4 Accredited PM preferred
