Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?In this position, you will be a key member of the Investor Services Strategy team and will partner with a broad variety of stakeholders to help develop, articulate and execute on RBC Investor Services’ strategy. You will work with a team to deliver analysis to support decision-making and financial planning in the business. You will play an active role in identifying, analyzing and addressing strategic opportunities for RBC Investor Services.What will you do?

  • Conduct financial analysis, which is critical in determining strategic outcomes
  • Analyze asset servicing industry themes, competitive positioning, market attractiveness, competitor profiles and performance results
  • Synthesize data from internal and external sources (including industry periodicals, press releases, etc.) to help draft strategic documents
  • Prepare materials, management reporting and presentations for senior management
  • Work with a team to support the Senior Management Team of RBC Investor Services on ad-hoc strategic requests and recurring business management deliverables.
  • Work closely with IS’ partners (such as Finance, Technology & Operations and Human Resources) in support of strategic objectives

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in investment banking, business strategy, advisory, financial planning & analysis, research or similar roles
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry (nice-to-have: asset servicing industry)
  • Analytical mindset and experience in financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams

Nice-to-have

  • Experience building dashboards via PowerBI
  • Experience in Business Management functions
