We are seeking a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join our team and help us ensure that students are attending regularly and punctually.The Role:
As the Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring and improving student attendance. Working closely with school staff, students, and parents, you will help identify attendance issues, support interventions, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily attendance, ensuring accurate recording and follow-up on absences.
- Contact parents and carers regarding student absences and lateness.
- Work closely with students, families, and staff to address attendance concerns and implement strategies to improve attendance.
- Maintain and update attendance records using the school’s management system.
- Prepare attendance reports and provide data to the leadership team as required.
- Liaise with external agencies when necessary to support students with attendance issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a school or similar environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using school management information systems (e.g., SIMS, Bromcom) is desirable but not essential.
