The AV Team, sit within Academic and Learner Services, part of the Global Information Services Directorate, and support and manage a range of Audio-Visual services across the Edinburgh campus.
Purpose of Role:
The role holder is responsible for configuration and maintenance of audio-visual systems at Heriot-Watt University.
The role holder works within a team which provides planned and emergency technical support to users of university learning, teaching, meeting, and event venues, in person, in venue and remotely using online management & monitoring systems.
The main focus of the role will be on IT aspects of AV system design, configuration, maintenance, and support, including IP address management, network device configurations, AV over IP, and USB3.0/USB4.0 utilisation. The role holder will work closely with the IS Network & Desktop Development Teams and with other relevant IT colleagues.
The role holder will assist with the technical planning, development and provision of modern learning, teaching, and meeting facilities for Heriot Watt by helping to test, program, configure and manage a large fleet of audio, video, control and communications equipment.
