Working at our busy Service Center, the right candidate for this role will be extremely well organized, computer literate, and ready to assist and oversee our technicians to work on customer and retail vehicles that are brought into the repair shop with mechanical or other vehicle related concerns. Fantastic at communicating with customer and employees alike, you will be responsible for providing thorough documentation and explanation of the vehicle’s diagnosis, recommended repairs, and completed work as we aim to continually provide the transparent, trustworthy service our clientele has grown accustomed to over the years.What’s in for you?

Your day to day:

  • Assisting technicians in effectively performing their day-to-day tasks
  • Supervising & training apprentice technicians
  • Monitoring the quality of work in progress
  • Test driving all vehicles service for drivability or noise complaints & to ensure repair quality on all appropriate comebacks
  • Dispatching & assisting in dispatching work based on technician skill levels
  • Communicating with the Service advisors on the status of the work in progress
  • Monitoring technicians use of time
  • Keeping technical bulletins & workshop literature updated
  • Maintaining & enforcing workshop housekeeping & safety standards
  • Maintaining an accurate & up-to date inventory of tools & equipment
  • Performing quality control inspections as required
  • Conducting technical training for department employees
  • Ensuring all technicians are advised of current technical information
  • Other tasks, as assigned by the Service manager

What you bring to the table:

  • Advanced product knowledge
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Licensed 310S Service Technician
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems & testing tools & procedures
  • Experience in diagnosing & repairing all key vehicle systems & components
  • Knowledge in the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials
  • Knowledge in the proper procedures for tools & equipment
  • Knowledge in the proper procedures of health & safety at work
  • Staff management skills
  • Clerical skills
  • Ability to interpret & evaluate R.O.s & department efficiency, productivity, & performance reports
