There’s a seat at our table for you…Shift DetailsStart time between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM4 to 5 Days per weekPosition OverviewThe AZ Local Delivery Driver will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Ottawa.What We Offer:Starting hourly rate of $30.20 with increases with months of service!Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employmentFULL flex benefits programCompany matching RRSPFamily cultureAdvancement opportunitiesProfit Sharing125 year, family owned and operated company historyFamily culture and advancement opportunitiesRequired Skills & Qualifications:Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products.Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 – 1000 cases/shift)Build and maintain good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control.Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows GFS banking policies.Performs all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment.Performs proper equipment maintenance, monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manages paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etcDevelops and maintains a good working relationship with other GFS employees.Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas. Attending department meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications:Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstractProven ability of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 80 lbsEligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certificationExcellent customer service skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeA high level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision and be self-directedProfessional demeanor under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalentAvailability for weekends#GFSCAWe thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
