Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support AssistantTeaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Bramhall. This full-time position starts ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance. The pay for this role ranges from £419.25 to £500 per week.Role Overview:As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioral needs, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop essential social and emotional skills. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and interested in a career in education or social care.Key Responsibilities:Student Behaviour Support:

  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioral support.
  • Implement individualized behavior plans and strategies to help students manage their behavior and emotions.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, parents, and the school’s pastoral team.

Classroom Assistance:

  • Support teachers in managing classroom behavior, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources to support teaching and learning activities.
  • Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities, promoting positive behavior and interactions.

Intervention and Mentoring:

  • Conduct behavior intervention sessions, helping students develop coping strategies, resilience, and positive social skills.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, building trusting relationships with students and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work with students to set and achieve behavior-related goals, celebrating their successes and addressing challenges constructively.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and carers, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to behavior management, such as maintaining records, filing reports, and preparing resources.
  • Help organize and participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities, ensuring students are well-supported and engaged.
  • Contribute to the overall development and implementation of the school’s behavior policy and strategies.
