EW26092024We are currently working in partnership with a number of specialist schools in Sheffield who are looking to appoint committed and experienced Behaviour Support Workers.Are you a Behaviour Support Worker that enjoys the flexibility of supply?We are currently working to support a number of SEN and SEMH Provisions in Sheffield to appoint Behaviour Support Workers to work in their schools.We are looking for individuals that have previous experience of working with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in hearing from those who have a strong care and sports background and are seeking to transition their skills into an education setting. Graduates are also encouraged and welcome to apply, as supply is a great way to build up your experience.Your role would be to provide support and guidance and deliver short term intervention to students to remove barriers to learning through promoting effective participation, raising self esteem, enhancing individual learning and raising aspirations in order to achieve fully their potential.As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be required to work with individual pupils, groups of children and the whole class. You will be required to support pupils with a range of abilities and support the Class Teacher.Our schools can offer part-time, full-time, short-term and long-term role so it can work around your availability!Requirements

  • Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as being confident with small groups
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Very good written, listening and oral communication

skills, high level organisational skills * Experience of working within school settings

  • 2x references
  • A valid DBS or willing to obtain
  • Team teach is also desirable
