The Role:

 

The Bid Manager-MENA works closely with Oxfam Great Britain’s (OGB) strategic partner countries in MENA region to bring together high performing bidding teams to successfully pursue large, complex grant and tender opportunities.

The role will contribute towards:

  • Increasing Oxfam’s institutional income in the MENA region.
  • Building stronger relationships and providing additional funding capacity to the MENA region.
  • Build new partnerships with the MENA regional platform to advance Oxfam strategic goals.

 

 

What we are looking for:

 

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

 

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Sound understanding of the institutional donor and partner landscape particularly in MENA and familiarity with rules and regulations of public sector procurement.
  • Experience of engaging with institutional donors such as FCDO, EU, EBRD, UN, Nordics and International Financial Institutions such as World Bank etc.
  • Previous experience in the MENA region
  • Proven track-record in leading a broad range of successful bids/proposals (particularly in Oxfam’s thematic areas), showing knowledge and experience in leading best practice across both grants and tenders and across a range of donor agencies and funding mechanisms.
  • Experience of working in matrix management system with wide range of stakeholders such as technical advisors, country funding coordinators, regional business development manager and finance lead.
  • Strong Arabic and English, verbal and written communications skills, including writing and editing quality proposal with input from technical experts.
  • Proven ability to analyse, synthesise and document complex issues.
  • Detailed oriented and analytical.
