Working with this innovative biotech in the heart of the North West you will be responsible for:Pipeline Development of proteomic (phospho-proteomic) data.Biomarker Discovery for new drug targets.Presentation and Collaboration of results with stakeholders across a multi-disciplinary team.You MUST have:

• A PhD or equivalent in a STEM discipline
• Over 2 years of experience in proteomic bioinformatics
• Advanced proficiency in R programming
• Skilled in developing, benchmarking, and applying a variety of machine learning approaches to large, complex molecular and clinical datasets for biomarker discovery
• Strong understanding of biochemical and molecular biological systems
• More than 3 years of experience with statistical and predictive modeling techniques for high-dimensional data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python or C++
• Knowledge of LC-MS/MS-based proteomics applications and related bioinformatics for mass spectrometry data analysis
• Experience in start-ups, biotech firms, or pharmaceutical companies
• Practical experience in a wet lab setting, including sample preparation and biochemical analysis.
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Competence in running analytical pipelines on cloud computing platforms
• Knowledge of Bayesian statistical methods
• Experience with proteomics software for identifying, characterizing, and quantifying peptides, proteins, and post-translational modifications (PTMs) from LC-MS/MS data
