Board Support AdministrationShift Pattern: Standard 40 Hour Week (United Kingdom)Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Corporate Grade: F – OfficerReporting Line: (UK Division) LME Legal & Company SecretariatLocation: UK-LondonWorker Type: PermanentOverall Purpose of Role:The LME Company Secretariat is responsible for the promotion of effective and consistent governance of LME Group companies. This includes the provision of governance support to certain LME advisory forums (including committees established by the LME to represent the interests of producers and other users of various metals traded on the exchange).This role provides support to the Senior Assistant to the Company Secretariat in providing admin support to Board Directors and carrying out various team admin functions.Responsibilities:The focus of the role is to support the Senior Assistant in providing administrative support to Board Directors and the Company Secretariat. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Organising Board Director travel and expenses as per LME Group policy
  • Liaising with IT to resolve issues and requests for both the Company Secretariat and Board Directors
  • Point of contact for general Board Director queries/requests
  • Arranging Board and Committee meetings as directed by the Senior Assistant – including liaising with PAs for availability, booking rooms, and ordering catering
  • Ad-hoc Board communications as directed by the Company Secretariat
  • Providing holiday cover for the Senior Assistant
  • Assist in processing and distributing LME Notices
  • Managing purchase orders, invoices, and payments
  • Assisting on a wide range of administrative Company Secretarial activities where required

Academic and Professional Qualifications Required:

  • GSCE English and Maths.
  • A levels

Required Knowledge and Level of Experience:

  • 2 – 5 years of previous team assistant experience, preferably gained in a professional services or regulated environment
  • High level of IT literacy (including Microsoft Office applications), with an aptitude to learn and adapt to new technology
