Budgeting AdvisorOur client is seeking a Budgeting Advisor to join their team. This newly created role involves maintaining and optimizing the budgeting system, ensuring financial data accuracy, and supporting financial system updates. The ideal candidate will be analytical, adept at translating financial information across departments, and proactive in enhancing budgeting processes and financial reporting. This opportunity is perfect for someone who takes initiative, asks insightful questions, and enjoys investigating to find the best solutions. This role reports directly to the Financial Systems Manager.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Manage and optimize the budgeting and financial systems, with a primary focus on the Oracle Hyperion system
• Oversee internal budget controls by tracking, reconciling, and reporting approved changes in Hyperion
• Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the financial systems by conducting regular audits across various financial platforms and facilitating User Acceptance Testing for system upgrades and enhancements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT and management, to resolve system issues and implement improvements that enhance financial systems
• Document business processes, identify opportunities for improving data management and financial reporting, and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements
• Train and support the Finance staff on financial system procedures to ensure seamless operations
• Maintain strong working relationships across departments, driving continuous improvement in the management and optimization of financial systems

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field is required
• 2+ years of working experience in Finance, Data Analytics or a related field
• Previous experience and a passion for the healthcare industry is a strong asset
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in data analysis and financial reporting tools
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system management
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budget management, and accounting processes
• Proficient at MS Access, Excel, and Word
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle highly confidential/sensitive issues tactfully and diplomatically
• Flexibility to accommodate competing and changing workload demands
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and internal controls is highly desirable
• Experience with Data Relationship Management, Hyperion and/or Microsoft PowerBI is an asset
