Job Description:Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Commercial Services (Procurement), the Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the transformation of Porter Airlines’ procurement systems, policies, processes, reporting, compliance and contracts.This individual contributor role is a new and exciting role on the procurement team. Porter is looking for an eager change agent with a solid systems background and someone who is a self starter with a results-oriented approach.Porter continues with its game-changing expansion plans by expanding its fleet of 29 DHC Dash 8 aircraft to include 75 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. As North America’s fastest growing airline, Porter is seeking top talent interest in joining a dynamic organization with significant growth potential.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and implement strategic plan for procurement systems, policies, processes, reporting, compliance and contracts, and track and report on progress
  • Develop and generate reporting on category and supplier spend, sourcing projects, procurement metrics / KPIs, compliance, etc.
  • Provide data analysis support to director, category managers and leads on their sourcing initiatives with focus on data quality and integrity
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and lead projects to develop and implement changes
  • Develop and implement company-wide procurement and finance-related policies, processes and controls
  • Develop, implement and maintain a support contract management system
  • Develop training material and deliver training to end users
  • Develop strong working relationships with leaders and staff in IT, Finance, Accounts Payable and Legal
  • Create decks and business cases and present to business partners for input and signoff
  • Attend training, industry events and conferences to expand knowledge and build relationships
  • Some travel outside of Toronto may be required to work with business leaders and staff, roll out new systems, policies and processes, and provide training
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in one of: information technology, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, commerce, accounting, engineering or similar field is desired
  • Excellent aptitude for data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills
  • Purchasing / procurement experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong team building and influencing skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Preference given to working knowledge of Coupa and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Strong working knowledge of Google software (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
