DescriptionPosition at MOZ GroupBusiness Analyst – Vendor Migration (9 Months contract)The Business Analyst – Vendor Migration is a meticulous explorer driven by the challenge of seamlessly transitioning our product from one vendor to another. Success is achieved by orchestrating a smooth transition, where technology effortlessly supports our customers without interruption.ResponsibilitiesMigration Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy and plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.Product Requirements and Documentation:Identify and gather internal requirements from all stakeholders, including business, engineering, customer support, and operations teams.Track and document detailed product requirements and specifications for the new vendor platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and functionality for migration, balancing technical feasibility and business impact.Project Management:Oversee all aspects of the migration project, including resource allocation and risk assessment.Coordinate cross-functional teams as the product owner in part of their scrum throughout the project to execute migration activities effectively.Quality Assurance and Testing:Define and implement rigorous testing procedures to validate data integrity, system compatibility, and performance during the migration process.Monitor and analyze test results to identify and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.Communication and Stakeholder Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the migration project, providing regular updates, progress reports, and addressing concerns.Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the migration process.Coordinate internal post-migration training to ensure smooth adoption of the new platform.QualificationsProven experience in software business analysis, with a focus on managing complex migration projects.Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.Experience gathering business and stakeholder requirements and converting them into functional requirements and user stories.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.Experience working with third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships is highly desirable.Knowledge of agile methodologies and SCRUM.SEO knowledge is considered an assetTargeted Salary 90-100K CAD for 9 months contractAbout Moz GroupThe Moz Group, a subsidiary of Ziff Davis, Inc (NASDAQ: ZD), is a leading provider of marketing technology solutions primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises, consisting of a portfolio of brands across digital media and cloud services.
