The Remedy Project
The Remedy Project is a Hong Kong-based social enterprise. We aim to build better ecosystems of work to help workers access remedies in global supply chains. We work with the private sector on a range of business and human rights-related issues (focusing on human rights due diligence, operational grievance mechanisms, and remediation of human rights impacts). We also work closely with governments, civil society, and UN agencies on policy, research, and capacity-building programs to counter exploitation in global supply chains.
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated professional to work with us on a range of business and human rights related projects and programs. This role will involve designing, leading, and implementing projects in the field of business and human rights for The Remedy Project’s private sector clients, as well as grant-funded programs for civil society and public sector partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business and human rights professional with at least 2 years of experience based in Asia who is comfortable leading innovative projects and programs and working with both private sector and civil society clients.
This role will be based in Hong Kong.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Independently design, develop, and deliver consultancy projects in the field of business and human rights for private sector, public sector, and civil society clients
- Support the delivery of grant-funded programs with The Remedy Project’s partners in Thailand, Cambodia, and Bangladesh
- Identify business opportunities, and establish, maintain, and build client relationships
- Contribute to thought leadership and the development of The Remedy Project’s brand through writing blog posts, newsletters, articles, speaking engagements, and other media
- Occasional business travel may be required

Key Competencies and Qualifications
- Background in law, human rights, compliance, or sustainability / ESG with 2+ years of relevant professional experience preferably in business and human rights
- Fluency in written and spoken English required, one additional regional Southeast Asian language desirable (but not required) e.g., Tagalog / Malay / Bahasa / Thai / Bangla
- Experience or familiarity with working with private sector clients
- Non-profit, or consulting experience desirable
- Effective communication, project, and people management skills
