The role
We are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to support the company’s senior management in the acquisition of strategic and normally high value contracts across all areas of the business. Reporting to the two company directors (currently based in the UK and France), you will also support the work of the Senior Education and TVET consultant (based in Ireland).

In doing the above, you will be expected to contribute positively to the company’s profitable portfolio of work and its reputation for successful project acquisition and subsequent implementation.
You will also be expected to contribute to internal knowledge sharing and communication and liaise and collaborate with all technical and cross-cutting divisions.
Essential skills/abilities//experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to draft in English
Able to work efficiently within Office 365 and its applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams at a minimum)
Able to travel globally to meet with prospective clients, partners and suppliers, and for corporate events (if not based in the UK)
A graduate degree in a subject of relevance to the company’s work or comparable experience
Desirable skills/abilities/desirable attributes
Numeric with a good grasp of project budgeting
Familiarity with the public procurement processes of international development clients
Business development experience with similar clients, e.g. the EU, ADB, WB or UN
If based outside of the UK, experience in working remotely and independently
In-depth knowledge of a market (e.g. geographic region or client) relevant to the purpose of the role
