We are looking for a Business Development Officer to join our Events & Sales Team in a leading advocate organisation where you can make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of wind energy.
You will be responsible for exhibition and sponsorship sales at WindEurope large and small events, including administrative follow-up. You will report to the Head of Events Sales.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of exhibition and sponsorship sales targets;
- Proactively reach out to new leads via a business development strategy;
- Prepare sales and sponsorship offerings for our clients;
- Contribute to the event sales reporting, ensuring the CRM data entry and invoicing is completed as required;
- Represent WindEurope at external industry events (including ours) to promote and sell events. This position requires occasional travelling.

Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, administration, marketing or related field;
- Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience in a sales environment (knowledge of exhibition/sponsorship sales is an advantage). Only candidates with a sales and/or business development track record will be considered for this position.
Software:
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM software is a plus.
Languages:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and spoken).
