Business Support Officer (Development)

Kent Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity with more than 31,000 members
and over 1000 registered volunteers. We manage and protect over 9000 acres of land across more
than 90 different sites and nature reserves, alongside 3 visitor centres.

But we can’t save nature alone. So, we work closely with local communities, businesses,
organisations and individuals to protect and restore wildlife and wild spaces and create a
wilder Kent for the benefit of people and the planet.

The opportunity/responsibilities:

We currently have an exciting and flexible opportunity to join Kent Wildlife Trust in a full
time Business Support role. The substantive part of this role is to deliver exceptional
administration and executive support to our Development directorate. As well as day to day
administrative work supporting our Project Management Framework, Wilder Wellbeing programme,
and the brand new Rebuilding Nature initiative, you will also specifically deliver executive
support for the Director of Development. The directorate is responsible for improving the
business processes and efficiency of the Trust. It consists of Digital Development (the
Department in which this role will sit), Education and Lifelong Learning, and Wilder Carbon.

Requirements:

You will be highly organised, efficient and take ownership of tasks; have impeccable
communication and prioritisation with a common-sense approach. You will be expected to work
alongside the particular team you support on that task or project, getting to know your
colleagues, understand their specific needs and provide support accordingly. You are solution
focussed and a great team player. An enthusiasm for digital improvement, project coordination
or event management would be a bonus.

We are unable to recruit anyone who does not have a right to work in the UK.

The Kent Wildlife Trust Group is Wild About Inclusion. To us, this means inspiring, empowering
and engaging people from all backgrounds, cultures, identities and abilities, to change the
natural world for the better. It also means cultivating inclusive workspaces that are free from
discrimination, where differences are celebrated, everyone can be themselves and flourish, just
like nature!
