Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing Finance systems.
  • 5 years of experience building integrated systems throughout the entire lifecycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams to define requirements and manage technical projects.
  • Experience defining and identifying new opportunities to improve domain critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Excellent technical process analysis skills to translate business requirements into comprehensive solution architecture.

You listen to and translate Googler needs into high-level technical specifications, design and develop recommended systems and consult with Google executives to ensure smooth implementation. The Finance Engineering team creates and implements the Fintech strategy for Google and Alphabet Finance. As the technology and engineering development partners to Finance leadership and CFO of Google and Alphabet, the team drives key technology transformations and investments. The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal business teams and stakeholders in developing delivery roadmaps and associated system requirements for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) planning processes.
  • Plan, prioritize, deliver, and support systems solutions related to SAP (BPC/BW, SAC, Project Systems), Anaplan or other FP&A platforms and tools.
  • Execute on system implementation projects which involves requirements documentation, systems design, model building/configuration, testing, issue identification and bug resolution. Organize and manage work through comprehensive documentation to drive project delivery.
  • Architect innovative solutions to automate and scale business systems. Identify constraints and dependencies for technical solutions and effectively manage/communicate to the stakeholders.
  • Develop solution rollout, business continuity and contingency plans as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve system, data, and process-related issues. Perform data analysis and reconciliations, identifying opportunities for process and technical improvement.
