Cake Decorator in Jeannette, Pennsylvania

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a full-time or part- time kitchen assistant who takes pride in helping to create authentic Italian attractive and delicious dishes. The ideal candidate will have kitchen experience, can work in a fast-paced kitchen, and have a positive attitude.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Some of your duties may include:

• Prepare, design, create and decorate cakes and cupcakes according to client and company specifications using decorating techniques with frosting, sugar, and other edible materials.
• Ensure that available inventory meets business needs
• Evaluate and test new cake decorating techniques and ingredients
• Bake cake and cupcakes
• Provide high quality customer service and consult with customers regarding icing techniques and cake design
• Evaluate market trends and target offerings accordingly
• Develop new cake decorating techniques
  • Maintain a clean work area and wash baking and decorating tools
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

You’ll need to be able to:

• Lift up to 50lbs
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Maintain a high level of organization with a strong attention to detail and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Verifiable experience decorating cakes and cupcakes

Schedule:

• We can offer a flexible schedule to provide work-life balance if the schedule meets the business needs.  This position will require weekend work.
