We closely collaborate with multiple research teams and product groups across the globe who bring a multitude of technical expertise in cloud systems, machine learning, privacy, and software engineering. We communicate our research both internally and externally through academic publications, open-source releases, blog posts, patents, and industry conferences. Further, we also collaborate with academic and industry partners to advance the state of the art and aim for material product impact that will affect 100s of millions of customers.We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with background in generative AI, including domain adaptation, scalable and distributed machine learning, modular AI, privacy, security, and reliability in AI, and related areas. You will be one of the key researchers executing on an independent research agenda in a team of 40+ world class researchers.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will undertake cutting-edge research on domain adaptation of machine learning models, including the development of theory and experimentation. They will share their findings with product groups and the academic community via publications in recognized venues.Qualifications:Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed (or close to completion) a PhD in computer science, maths, physics, or related field.
- Background in machine learning and deep learning; working knowledge of state-of-the-art large language models.
- Track record of top-tier research, as evidenced by publications in venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, SP, CCS, ACL, EMNLP, etc.
- Capability of rapid and accurate prototyping in Python.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in working with product teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art practices and methodologies in security and privacy such as differential privacy, membership inference attacks, information flow control, etc.
