If you are passionate leader with experience in integrated programming, representation, capacity building in HLP rights, civil documentation, and project management then this is the role for you.
What You Will Do
- Develop CB strategy, technical guidance, and Macro LFAs (MLFA) that are aligned with regional and global strategies and priorities.
- Comply with and adhere to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.
- Contribute to fundraising, develop, and revise funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports.
- Provide technical direction and project implementation support.
- Identify trends technical standards and donor priorities.
- Ensure that key learnings are extracted from CB implementation and incorporate them in CB and staff development processes.
- Provide systematic training and build capacity of technical staff.
- Represent NRC in relevant forums/Clusters/Sectors, including with national authorities and donors.
- Promote the rights of displaced persons in line with the advocacy strategy.
- Supervise and manage the Capacity Building Coordinator role and any other CB additional roles.
- Follow up on compliance with contractual commitments within CC, ensure high technical quality and synergies in project implementation.
What You Will Bring
- Relevant university degree, preferably law.
- Conversant with program issues in humanitarian settings (especially education, shelter, WASH, food security and livelihoods)..
- Ability to work independently and proactively with limited daily support and supervision.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in senior capacity within Legal Assistance in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
- Previous experience from working in stressful, politicized, and restrictive environments.
- Proven experience in representing organizations vis-à-vis local authorities, UN agencies, other NGOs etc. in coordination settings (clusters, working groups, sectors etc.) preferably with background and/or participation in protection sector/cluster mechanisms.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with ability to produce final drafts of substantial analysis and briefing papers.
- Legal technical expertise, including knowledge of Housing, Land & Property and/or civil documentation issues in emergency and return contexts.
- Knowledge of the displacement context in Syria and the Middle East.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Ability to work with diplomacy, tact and sensitivity and experience in working within different cultural contexts requiring cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrate ability in thinking creatively and practically to improve the quality of projects.
