Permanent postCardiothoracic / Neuro Outpatient Department ManagerBand 7, full time , 5 days per week, Monday – FridayWe have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to step into the role as the Cardiothoracic/ Neurology Outpatient Department Manager.We are looking for a 1st level Registered Nurse with a real passion for Outpatients whom are really committed to take this service forward for the future of our services.Main duties of the jobThe Post holder will work closely with the Matron and Service Manager ensuring that patients receive high quality care across both the Neuro and Cardio outpatient departments, providing clinical and operational leadership for the departments. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of outpatient operational performance, working alongside the clinical directors and service managers to ensure that outpatient performance targets and high quality patient care is achieved and sustained.The Post Holder will ensure that effective staffing levels and skill mix are used to service all clinical specialties accessing the departments. Additionally the Post holder will plan the day to day running of the outpatient departments, coordinating clinical services and resources to effectively manage the departments.About usLeadership and Improvement TrainingSouth Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. - oFirst level degree in the nursing discipline and record of continuous personal, professional and academic development.
- oOr a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), Foundation Degree Higher National Diploma (HND) demonstratable, equivalent specialist experience.
- oRecognised teaching/mentorship qualification.
- oBasic Life support

- Customer Care Qualification
- oLEO, LWAP or Management equivalent leadership certificate
Knowledge and SkillsEssential
- oAbility to work within the boundaries of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
