The Cash Manager interfaces with other store departments to ensure achievement of store objectives and excels in customer service.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads by example and ensures that cashier staff demonstrate our CORE ValuesInterviews and recommends final candidates for hiring cashiersEnsures cashiers complies with all Store StandardsSchedules cashier staff hours, days off and vacations within established guidelinesTrains employees in job functions and provides on-going coaching and instructionsAssists with completing performance reviews of cashier staff in conjunction with the FSMCUSTOMER SERVICE:Ensures exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectationEnsures employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform PolicyEnsures cashiers ask for PC Optimum Card during each transactionPromotes all company initiatives of PC Optimum, fundraising with customers and employeesIs responsible for cash focused promotions/offersEnsures all cashiers are aware of weekly promotions and scanning code of practiceEnsures lottery trays are to standard, locked, follow legislative lottery policyFINANCIAL:Performs clerical/banking dutiesAssists with all coin orders, resolves all discrepancies with cash and coin ordersMaintains cash office / safe following Store StandardsPrints transaction exception report weekly identifying variancesPrints cash over/ short weekly; identifies and investigates variancesKnowledge of charge accounts as applicableLOSS PREVENTION:Ensures all loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to StandardsEnsures procedures regarding parcel checks are adhered toQUALIFICATIONS:Planning, Judgement and Decision MakingIndependent thinking and decision making when dealing with issues related to customer’s requestsJudgment & decisions would be made based on ability to ask the right questions leading to the appropriate solutionsThis position requires the ability to act upon tasks and goals outlined by managementEXPERIENCE:Supervisory and labour management experienceExperience with retail/grocery and cash handlingSuperior interpersonal skillsEfficient time management abilityFinancial analysis abilityStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective organization and planning skillsCommitment to providing exceptional customer serviceWORKING CONDITIONS:Ability to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekendsJ2WRTLWhy work in a Pharmaprix store or community pharmacy?Work for a local business owner while having the support of a strong retail brand.
