The School of Surveying and Built Environment (SBE) at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified candidates to support the delivery of our Construction Management Courses during 2023.

SBE offers two degrees in Construction Management:

  • Associate Degree of Construction (ADCN) – AdegConstruction
  • Bachelor of Construction (Honours) (BCNH) – BCon(Hons)
  • SBE offers three terms of enrolment per year and casual Academic appointments will be made based on the student enrolments for each term. Casual Academics may be engaged for on-campus delivery at our Springfield campus and online mode if required, in any of the following courses:

    • CMG1001 Introduction to Construction Management and the Built Environment
    • CMG1002 Residential Construction: Methods, Materials and Management
    • CMG2001 Job Organisation
    • CMG2002 Cost Management: Estimating, Measurement and Cost Control
    • CMG2003 Construction Production Management
    • CIV2605    Construction Engineering
    • CMG3001 Building and Construction Procurement
    • CMG3002 Contract Administration
    • CIV3603    Construction Methods
    • CMG4002 Integrated Construction Management
    • CMG4003 Commercial Construction


    • Bachelor’s degree with Honours (AQF8 ) in a relevant area, or
    • A completed Bachelor’s degree (AQF7 ) AND at least 1 year of relevant and current industry experience or equivalent
    • Experience in teaching and/or assessing skills
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
    • Willingness to complete mandatory induction and online training required at UniSQ.
