Catchment Officer (River Ouse)

Ouse & Adur Rivers Trust

As part of our expanding team, we are now looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and organised
person to deliver a range of projects across the River Ouse. These include working with a range
of partners on delivering the River Ouse Non-Native Species project, coordinating our Citizen
Science projects on water quality testing and Sea Trout monitoring, and supporting the Trust in
the delivery of other river and wetland projects.

You will be joining the Trust during a period of growth, supporting our development, and assisting with maintaining our reputation of delivering high quality projects and encouraging local communities and volunteers to get involved. This is a varied role which will require the ability to work on your own initiative as well as alongside existing staff. As an organisation we are focused on using a strategic, evidence-based, approach to delivering
projects and this is an exciting opportunity to gain more experience in river and catchment
enhancement work which will make a real difference to the aquatic environment. Initially
offered as a two-year fixed term contract, it is expected that the position will be extended,
subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding.
